The members and staff of Mount Olive Lutheran Church welcome you to our Web site!
Mount Olive is a confessionally Lutheran congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We are not ashamed of our Lutheran faith, which centers all that we believe and do squarely on Christ and Him crucified for us. Because the LORD is present for us in Word and Sacrament, we conduct worship reverently, using the best liturgical traditions of the historic Christian Church which boldly proclaim this Gospel faith. Our congregation regularly uses services, rites and hymns from the Lutheran Service Book.
Divine worship is held each Sunday and the Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month. Visitors to Mount Olive on these Sundays are asked to speak with the Pastor before coming forward for communion.
News at Mount Olive!
- Wednesday Evening Worship and Bible Study - Starting Wednesday, June 9, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. join us for a time of worship, Bible study, and fellowship. We will begin in the nave with a time of worship, and then gather for a closer look at God's Word in the fellowship hall. Holy Communion will be offered the last Wednesday of each month. This will be a wonderful opportunity to remain in God's Word during the week. Our first Bible study will focus on the New Testament book of Galatians. We hope you will join us.
- MOPS - Mount Olive has a newly chartered MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group! "MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!" Meetings are planned for the first and third Wednesdays of each month, September through May. If you are a mother of young children (infancy through preschool) who might benefit from being encouraged by other Christian moms while your children receive quality care, please inquire about our MOPS group by contacting the church office (970-669-7350). Click on the "MOPS" link in the left margin for more details as they become available.
