Grow in Your Faith at Mount Olive Lutheran Church
| Studying our faith is an important priority for the members of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. So we make an effort to provide year-round educational opportunities for all members and guests! Here's what we already have planned for the Spring of 2010... |
| |
Sundays
|
| Sunday School |
10:20-11:30 a.m. |
| Children in grades Pre-K through 5 will be learning stories from the Bible using the Growing in Christ curriculum from CPH, the publishing arm of the LCMS. |
|
| Adult Class |
10:30-11:30 a.m. |
We have begun studying Luther's Small Catechism on Sunday mornings. Junior and Senior youth are joining their parents and other adults to learn from and get to know our new pastor as he teaches us.
|
| |
|
Tuesdays
|
| Confirmation Class |
5:30-7:00 p.m. |
Students in grades 5-8 (and their parents) meet with Pastor Nierman to learn and review the doctrines of our Lutheran faith as taught in the Small Catechism.
|
| |
|
Wednesdays
|
| Men's Study Group |
6:30-8:00 a.m. |
Men from Mount Olive gather each Wednesday morning to study Luther’s Small Catechism - with brief forays into the Christian aspects of history, economics, politics, life and death, current events and the Fall of mankind.
|
| |
| Senior Youth Group |
6:30-8:00 p.m. |
| Teenagers encounter people with different beliefs and opinions on a variety of religious and ethical topics. We will be learning about some of the beliefs of our friends churches and how those beliefs shape opinions and perspectives on current events and ethical issues. |
| |
|
Thursdays
|
| Ladies' Study Group |
6:30-8:00 p.m. |
| Women of all ages gather each week for discussion over decaf and dessert, and in the midst of conversation learn how to “...make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. (1 Peter 3:15-16). |
